The library provides computer access to the Internet and a number of common applications including Office XP. Computer resources are available at first come / first serve basis, and typically users are assigned a 30 minute time block.

WiFi Access

The library offers Wireless Internet access for community members as well as visitors and travelers passing by the Kalama Library.

Computer Use Rules


To maximize Internet availability and to ensure fair accessibility for all, please follow these rules and procedures:

  • Internet computers are available during open hours at the Library.
  • Patrons sign in before using the computer. Time will be allotted to 30 minutes per day per person unless there is no one waiting. Computer user need not be a cardholder.
  • The public may not use their own software programs on the library computers.
  • Abuse of equipment will result in denial of use and/or payment for repairs.
  • Any use of the network to facilitate illegal activity is prohibited.
  • Fees will consist of $.10 per page for use of the printer. Children may print school related pages at no charge.
  • Parents of young people under 18 must assume responsibility of their children's use of the Internet at the library.
  • Patrons under 8 years of age need supervision by an adult.
  • Patrons under age 18 need a Kalama Public Library Internet Release Card signed by a parent or guardian to use the library computer for Internet.
